In this episode, I got to catch up with a real-life IDOL, Dr. Robin Sargent, Founder and CEO of IDOL courses, and President of IDOL Courses Academy. Robin is one of the most down-to-earth, innovative, and fun humans I’ve ever met. Her passion for helping others is truly extraordinary. I am a huge fan of hers and the community she has developed around her IDOL course offerings continues to grow.  Robin is doing BIG things in the Instructional Design world and I can’t wait to see what’s next! More About Dr. Robin Sargent

Robin Sargent Ph.D., an entrepreneur, instructional designer, author, and former professor, is recognized as an instructional design community leader. She is the Owner and Founder of IDOL courses, IDOL Talent, and VITAL courses. IDOL courses is the authorized trade school that serves clients through IDOL Talent while developing the next generation of creative learning designers. Business Insider heralds the IDOL courses Academy as "one of the best choices out there if you're serious about starting a career in corporate instructional design, but don't want to pay for a master's degree."

Earning her Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in instructional design and online learning, she has coached, mentored, and taught thousands of current and aspiring learning designers. Dr. Robin is also a former Director of Learning & Development for a billion-dollar staffing firm with over 17 years of corporate instructional design experience. She serves as a volunteer board member for DESIGNxHUMANITY, a design collective and apprenticeship program pairing experienced creatives with fresh faces to collaborate on real-world projects advocating for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. In addition, she started the IDOL World project to match non-profit organizations with access to instructional designers and free eLearning modules on relevant topics.
