27: The Value of Mentorship and Using EdTech for Plagiarism Prevention with Eric Gibbs, President of Ouriginal

On the 27th episode of EdUp EdTech, I got to chat with Eric Gibbs, the President (Americas) of Ouriginal.
During this episode, we chat about how Ouriginal ensures originality and authenticity in written work from a student to an instructor in order to protect the academic integrity of an institution. They focus on plagiarism prevention and even have a feature for cross-language text matching.

Eric’s interests growing up were in science and math. He put himself through college teaching test prep and started in the EdTech space at Aplia, where he met his mentor and learned so much about sales and managing teams. His career has allowed him to have a hand in many different organizations. Along the way he has always brought the core values that he learned from his mentor and has returned the favor by being a mentor to others.
